The problem
Sub bids arrive in every format, so estimators retype them into a bid tab and compare totals before scope. Zebel says leveling one trade by hand takes about an hour, across 100 to 200 bid reviews on a typical project, and an exclusion buried at the bottom of a quote can turn into a change order after signing.
How AI helps
